What Does The Lord Teach Us About Leadership In John Chapter 4

1) Look at John 4: 1-3, Baptism is one the most IMPORTANT things in Christian Ministry. It is a public declaration of an inward transformation that has happened, by The Holy Spirit, from trusting in Jesus Christ. Yet, Jesus didn't do the baptisms in His Ministry, He entrusted it to His disciples. Christian Leadership is The Art of Delegating! Jesus models Delegation as a Christian Practice; it is Biblical Leadership!
How can you be a better delegator at work, at home, or in Ministry?!?
2) Also, in John 4: 1-3; notice that Jesus doesn't stay in Jerusalem to go toe to toe, in an argument with the Pharisees; even though He could, and would win, He's God!!! But instead He knows the divine appointment He has from the Father (Share The Gospel with The Samaritains), and He doesn't let distractions (arguments, conflict, and drama) pull Him away from His divine purpose.
Even though you could win an argument, walk away! Christian Leaders focus on their Purpose, and know when to walk away. Your Divine Appointment / Purpose / Calling from God is most important!!!
Think about a time you got pulled into an argument when you should have walked away, and focused on your greater Divine Appointment of AGAPE -Love. Would you mind sharing? Read Matt 10:16-22 what is the leadership principle here?
3) Read John 4: 39-40; Jesus a Jew!!! and a Rabbi!!! wasn't afraid to break what was cool, or culturally accepted, or culturally normal.
Love was more important. HE STAYED WITH THE SAMARITAINS FOR TWO DAYS!
What an Amazing God we have. Where is God calling you to be Counter-Cultural, for Him?!?! Would you mind sharing? So there are 4 things Jesus models in living as a disciple, what are they?
